LOOKING FOR A BOOST?
Wanna get your hands on the Side Effects: Booster Shot? We’ve got good news and bad news.
The good news — we had a select number of Side Effects: Booster Shots shipped to PAX Unplugged! Meaning if you’re at the convention, you can purchase one of these coveted expansion packs from us directly.
The bad news is that the new shipment for website orders is arriving in late December now — meaning the earliest we can start shipping these to customers is January. Blast!
However, if you purchased it as a part of your Hex Effects Kickstarter package, we’ve got you covered. We set aside enough Booster Shots to fulfill those orders and they should still be arriving before Christmas (fingers crossed!).

Oh, the Caffeine Boost Card Pack. That darling little extra card pack we made as a promotional partnership with Barnes & Noble. Where has it gone? The short answer is: we’re working on it — there will be a day when you can buy that card from us directly, but just not right now.

THERE WILL BE A NEW GAME
We’ve saved the best for last. Ya see, folks, we’ve been quietly working on a brand new game — one we just know you’re going to fall in love with.
When you meet someone new, what do you talk about? Typically, you ask about their hobbies, their favorite things, their job, but the conversation really gets interesting when you start asking each other questions about how you both see the world — questions of social etiquette, personal philosophies, and hypothetical scenarios. These moments where you feel like you’re really connecting with someone — really getting to know their perspectives and quirks, as well as sharing your own — these are the moments that inspired our new game.
It’s called PERFECT STRANGER.
The rules are simple but the possibilities are endless. You’re given a list of carefully curated question cards. Simply draw a card, read it aloud, and then everyone submits a YES or NO card from their hand, indicating their honest answer to the question. You then go around the table guessing how many people said Yes or No. The game comes with special action cards to make the experience even more lively and strategic.
We’ve been playtesting this game for the last three years and we’re finally ready to present it to the world.
